Every woman has her own personal expectations for her birth experience. We have designed Babies First to meet your individual needs. Our family-centered approach to care helps you, and your family, experience a healthy and happy beginning to a lifetime of memories.
You are making many decisions, and the most important is selecting a physician and hospital that meets your individual needs. Our Babies First center is designed as a comfortable, comforting, and caring place.
Our team of medical professionals is highly qualified in obstetrical care and is dedicated to providing the best care for you and your baby. We also have a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, just that extra assurance that highly sophisticated care is immediately available if needed.
You and your neighbors have counted on us for more than 50 years. Delivering nearly 2,500 babies a year, our nurses are highly trained in obstetrical nursing and many are bilingual.
We offer our new mothers several special interactive services. The Online Nursery is a password protected way to share the news of your new baby and order photos. We also offer CarePages, a FREE virtual gathering place where you can create your own secure and customized web pages to convey information, experiences and photos throughout your pregnancy.
Private Birth Suites
These beautifully furnished and decorated Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) suites allow you to remain in one room during all phases of your labor and delivery. The suites feature large windows with panoramic views. The Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms look more like home than typical hospital rooms. The decor features wood floors, wallpaper and drapes.
Mother-Baby Suites
Our private suites are designed for your baby to be able to remain with you during your stay instead of in a separate nursery. For educational enjoyment, we also offer the Newborn Channel in both English and Spanish, 24-hours-a-day.
Surgical Suite
Fully equipped for cesarean sections, this suite is located very close to our LDR suites. This allows you and your physician the comfort of knowing that it can be accessed immediately, if this should become necessary.
Pre-Admission is Easy & Fast
When baby lets you know it's time to make your way to the hospital, you will want to know that Babies First is ready for your arrival. Just complete all of the paperwork in advance. This will save you time on the day you come in to deliver and allow you to go directly to the Babies First .
We recommend completing your pre-admission application by your 7th month, and return it with the necessary information to the Admitting Department by mail or in person. Return the information to us for processing and we'll take care of the rest. If possible, we recommend coming in person so that we may answer any questions you may have. Your physician's office will have the forms you need, or download the forms.
We'll send you a pre-admitting card to let you know that your admission is complete. Making your hospital arrangements in advance gives you the peace of mind in knowing that everything will be ready for you and your birthing partner when you arrive. Arriving at the Hospital
When you arrive from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. you must enter through the Emergency Department. When you arrive from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. please enter through the main lobby and go to the 5th floor.
