Four Levels of Behavioral Health Care

1. Psychiatric Counseling
Many people seek individual counseling from an expert through traditional physician office visits. If you need to find a qualified psychiatrist in your area, please call our Physician Referral Line at (818) 908-8677. The Northridge Hospital Crisis Line staff at (818) 885-5484 also can guide callers to other professional resources.

2. Outpatient Program
Our psychiatric outpatient program serves as a next step for those who need more than traditional counseling by including additional treatment services such as group therapy. It can also be a "step down" program for those who are participating in a higher level of therapy by decreasing the number of sessions, or hours at the facility. Participants take part in weekly or monthly programs, as determined necessary by the therapy team, and may return home daily.

3. Partial Hospitalization Program
Our partial hospitalization program is the bridge between our outpatient program and inpatient hospital therapy. It provides the daily structure and support of our inpatient program, but allows participants to return home daily. For people who are in crisis or need additional psychiatric services, the partial hospitalization program can provide treatment, as an alternative to being admitted to the hospital.

4. Inpatient Hospitalization
Separate from our outpatient programs, we have 40 beds in our inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. These rooms are reserved for those who are unable to function at home, work, or school. Our inpatient program offers needed stability in a safe and therapeutic environment.

Our goal is to provide compassionate care and clinically skilled diagnosis and treatment. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of our patients by giving them the support and tools for a successful recovery.
