Support Our Rehabilitation Patients
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is fortunate to have one of the finest rehabilitation centers in the nation. Among the shining stars of the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine are the members of the T.G.I. Care Guild, a hard-working, caring group of donors who focus on enriching the lives of patients undergoing rehabilitation. The Guild is part of the Northridge Hospital Foundation.
The T.G.I. Care Guild was formed in 1983 by dedicated former patients, their families, friends and physician's wives. The name, meaning "Thank God I Care," aptly underscores the projects undertaken by the Guild.
Since its inception, the T.G.I. Care Guild has provided needed support for the Rehabilitation Center. Through its volunteer programs and fundraising efforts, the Guild has provided special patient services and programs that otherwise would not exist.
By becoming a Guild member, you can make a critical difference in the lives of our patients.
Through the years, generous financial donations from the Guild have helped to purchase equipment and supplies such as a large screen television, pediatric gym equipment, start-up costs and ongoing financial support for the T.G.I. Care Brain Injury Day Treatment Program.
The Guild has contributed artwork to the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, which enhances its comfortable, home-like environment. Each holiday, Guild members also assure that patients feel the warmth and joy of the season through the coordination of activities such as Easter Bunny, Santa appearances, Hanukkah, Passover celebrations, and a July 4th BBQ.
Become A Guild Member
By joining the Guild, you can make a lasting contribution to quality healthcare. As a member you can contribute to fundraising activities for additional equipment and service needs of the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine. Guild members enjoy special fundraising events, membership luncheons and updates on the hospital.
Be A Volunteer
Guild members boost the spirits of patients by assisting them with reading, playing games or for therapy sessions on time. Sometimes patients just need help filling out a menu, mailing a letter or taking care of paperwork. Lending a hand during inpatient rehabilitation, or for a fundraiser, is also important. Share your special talents and bring a smile to someone's face.
Donate
You may make a tax-deductible donation without being a member of the Guild. It is as easy as downloading the form - just click on the right hand page link. For more information on the T.G.I. Guild call (818) 885-8500, ext. 3634.
